Nine more dreams...

Last year, when I shared a dream with my friend, he asked "Why don't you write it down, so you can remember it?". It strike a cord and thus began the process of dreaming at night and writing them in the morning. On so many occasion, I wanted to write them but either I got busy or forgot them. I planned to note down 50 dreams and share them. So far I've written 41 dreams, and I am curious what will be those nine more dreams?

Someone may say, how can I trust that these are actual dreams? True! but then you will read 41 new thoughts that you never knew existed.

I found some themes among these dreams and I grouped them in no particular order:

Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Mysticism

1. A girl known to me visits the home, then she started setting curtains and cooking food. While doing so, she transformed into another girl I knew, who then transformed in another asian unknown woman, while her activities continued. I felt uncomfortable with this girl (or girls) presence. My youngest brother said that my wife is coming down from the above room, while coming down the stairs, she transformed into my mother.

2. One over-crowded non-functional and irregular shaped ship floating on the sea, touched an island. People on it were shouting to be rescued, but it got washed away with the sea waves, and nobody was rescued. It was evening and getting darker, the sea was getting violent, and I wondered what was their fate.

3. There is a bridge connecting two shores over a large water body. The bridge in curved (bent down, inverted C), so when the people walk over it, their feet are submerged in the water.

4. My heart got a defect and it was removed from the body. Without heart, I felt breathlessness and weakness. A bottle with blue color viscous material was connected to the body with a thin pipe so the fluid can go inside where heart was. Normal body functioning was restored.

5. A flattened lizard and an insect (like cockroach) are in a standoff. Then another lizard comes and attaches itself horizontally to the other, which makes it a 2 face, 2 tail reptile. Then another insect comes and attaches horizontally to the existing one. Then, another lizard followed by another insect joining to their respective partners. This process keep going on resulting in a giant lizard and giant insect stand-off.

6. A child has flexible legs like a toy. The problem being, with smaller legs he cant get up, and with longer legs cant stand for too long.

7. There is a shape changing ridge gourd (torai/vegetable). If it is not growing properly then it jumps to its nearby okra / lady finger plant and changes its shape. In an alternative situation, a fully grown ridge gourd detaches itself from the plant, grows wings and flies out as a bird.

8. I tell a friend (in my dream) about a dream involving that friend in how it startled me and woke me up (in my dream) --> startling in dream2, leading to wake up in dream1

9. The garden lacked nutrients, so I draw blood from a syringe and mix with something else (urine?) and spray on the vegetables. The logic was that blood had some chemicals that will help grow plants.

Sexual Undertones

10. A girl complaint about sexual assault, all she remembered was a man with black gloves with a leather patch. The cameras pan on her father wearing black leather gloves.

11. I was driving a motorbike. A distant male cousin saw me and started running alongside the motorbike by holding the backseat of the bike. This went on for several kilometers and I stopped the vehicle. Then he told that he is infatuated to a close male member in his family (not me though).

Humor

12. "Do I speak well", "You speak way too fast", "I can write better".

13. You could treat your breathing problem using smoking. Put the cigarette at the end of a pipe, put the pipe in mouth and go under water, so that cigarette is outside water. Keep breathing and smoking.

14. A former boss said that not only he knows my mother tongue but he has good knowledge of proper linguistics and loves poetry in my language.

15. "If you settle in this part of the world, you can create two lines of families". "I am not an emperor."

Political & Investigative

16. People are inducted in the army to prevent an attack from some enemy. It is not clear if the enemy is from the earth or a celestial alien. I met an old friend drafted in the army. I felt emotional and almost cried as he may never come back and I may be the next.

17. Infinite blackmail. if photo is sent to an investigator to blackmail him, he can blackmail another person using the same tactic and this can go on and on? [What was in those photos?]

18. Prime minister of XXX country died of a disease in which his face cracked wide open. It showed in flashback that in the past a herbalist came to check on him and pressed fingers on his face. People objected to non-scientific treatment of their leader, on which a secretary told that it is the protocol to try (and not deny) different styles of treatments, if a leader is sick.

19. A woman declared on social media, "My husband and I convert to Islam under the section Yadollahi, our new names are Yazdgard Yadollahi and Yocemite Yadollahi, please embrace our new identities". In reality, no such known sect of Islam exist.

Very Specific Names or Details

20. Trip to a planet called "Septurn", return flight is 8 hours earth time but equivalent to several months in outer space. The second trip is not going well, we get stuck in spatial vacuum or trash and are trying to revive the aircraft, its floating and swinging dangerously.

21. "Neolita" (ex-wife of a man) showed up, she and the ex-husband started talking. The husband realize the presence of current wife and walked to the outer yard with Neolita. The wife, fully draped in clothes and masked face appears in the yard. Can Neolita identify her?

22. "Ilika" is a new country being carved out in North Africa on the map. It is not a separate piece of land but right in between three other countries, crossing their existing borders.

23. A Saudi prince/king is arrested by police for public peace violation. He didn't speak English at his arrest and was uttering the word "Screege", which nobody knows the meaning of.

24. Me and him are hanging out, I confidently told him "environment" is also called "aparavan" in hindi language. In reality, this is not a real Hindi word.

(Family) Drama

25. A girl sent out an email to people about calling off her wedding. She states that she had a special child, met a guy, fixed marriage date but then ran into money issues. She said, these days I am mostly doing daily (cheap) shopping from here and there, and that "We do not have much money these days". Then I tried to tell this story to my aunty and she could not understand anything and asked too many "why", "how", "who" types of questions.

26. A young couple found themselves in a desert in Australia. They were both malnutrioned, swelled face infested with worms. An elderly couple saw them, came for help. The couple's eye vision was not clear and they saw someone coming and they imagined them to be white elderly couple. Elderly couple pluck worms from their faces using a tweezer, then gave them food. When the couple opened their eyes, they saw a younger brown male and female, who said they are brother and sister. The young couple wondered are these children of the older couple, if yes how are they brown? Or are these the ones who saved them? It was not clear, how the younger couple landed in Australia, they were from north america, was it a plane crash?

27. I gave $500 to a child. Her (dead) father came (a ghost apparently?) and gave me $2500 more and said to pay this combined amount to her daughter every week from now.

28. A cousin has become ultra-right wing, everyone is surprised because she was such a funny person and laughing all the time. How is that even possible?

29. My aunt (in India) informed me she has developed foot ulcer and is prescribed bed rest. I became concerned it might develop bed sores. I am thinking to tell her to take part in a study in Canada on treating diabetic foot ulcers (i know she is diabetetic) using functional electrical stimulation. However, can she make the journey from India to Canada to take part in this study?

30. A person signed up for a credit card, but got frustrated by the hidden fees, left some dollars on the road (as a bad omen?) I noticed that and wanted to pick up those dollars, but others are looking at me.

31. I am driving towards a parking lot, then realized that I am not feeling good, couldn't park the car near to the parking meter. I felt cold and realized I am not wearing the t-shirt, I felt drowsy and lay down on the car seat, also figured another car is waiting but too weak to react. The driver from the behind car came, somehow opened the parking gate and asked me to move forward. I am stuttering with weakness, but also wondered as I did not take the parking ticket, so when I come out of parking lot, how can I exit from the it?

32. In a dead WhatsApp group of friends, somebody sends a message to break the silence. (So realistic, that I checked my phone to verify if it was true or a dream).

33. A fussy uncle invited people for dinner. However, he got stomach flu so he cannot eat with them. Yet, he is forcing family members to make him taste everything being prepared for guests.

34. A man had some grudge with railways (perhaps was hit before?). So, he manually removes the connecting bolts between tracks and wait for the incoming train. Behind him is a steep waterfall.

Nostalgia, Merging Past and Present

35. In late 90's / early 2000's I used to buy groceries after work from a small convenience store in Delhi. The shop was run by a retired old man in his 60s. His son was a drunkard and he had to work to support the extended family. I went to that place again in present time and saw him still running that shop, though he is 20 years more older as it is evident from his stooped posture and heavily wrinkled face.

36. Brother-in-law (now dead) is in the house, but the timelines (and discussions) doesn't aligned with the present. It was told that it was his ghost and everyone is pretending the time to be in the past, so the ghost is not hurt and keep thinking as it is alive.

37. Merging past and present timelines to create a unique new story. I moved in to a basement of a house (past), interested in buying the full house instead (present). The house owners younger son (unknown) became my friend, he wouldn't tell what he does but only that he is taking few courses per year in the college (present). He consoled me about a recent death of a bro-in-law (present). He said his parents are from a city in India, Meerut. As I had been there, I told him if he knew a particular location of Mawana bus stand (past), he said he doesn't go there much. Then we took a manual rickshaw and wandered in that city (past+present). Then, we reached a house where a barber is operating from home (most likely present). Lastly, we went to a Canadian house with several retired Indian families having a dinner and sharing their stories (present).

38. I went to the backyard, on the left is the house where I grow up, on the right is the current yard of the house (past & present)

39: A wife alleges that his husband is not the son of his mother, possibly driven by revenge so he does not inherit his mother's wealth. The husband is outrageous on this allegation and calls up his lawyer. It is this lawyer's second job after completing his degree, the first being a vice chancellor of some university. The lawyer lives in a room in my high school building (was it all past or present merging to past because I know those husband and wife!).

40. An uncle is walking on a bridge with me. He appeared very tall (like 1-2 foot taller), taking very long and fast steps. His body seems normal but elongated legs are the reason. Later on, it was told that due to some problem his legs were amputated and replaced with bionic legs, but those were very long. Hence, when fitted to his body, he became super tall.

41. We wanted to go to Waterloo (in Canada), so we found an Indian restaurant using Google search to dine in. When we reached Waterloo, we couldn't find that restaurant on Google, in fact our phone stoppped working and all the apps crashed. Incidentally, geographically speaking, Waterloo appears to be within the city of Galway, Ireland (past-present mix up).

Maqaam

Tere pehloo main ishq ka woh maqaam paa liya hai
mere har dard ko teri muskurahaton ne chhupa liya hai

judai raat ke siyah kagzon main dafan ho gayi hai
andheron ki roshnni main saahil ko paa liya hai

tujh se milnay ki khwahish thee zindagi jeenay ka sabab
Aaj aawaz jo suni to maut main sukoon paa liya hai

ghamon ko dil se lagakar ronay ka kya faida
kharay samandar se apni pyas ko bujha liya hai

jaam chakh kar to sab hee behak jaatay hain
main-khanay se guzar kar nasha honay ka raaz paaliya hai

kal jo kamzor thai to kahin gum thai, shehroz
garam hawaon ne aaj apna aaqa bana liya hai
